Espanola Pathways Shelter

Española Pathways Shelter (EPS) is the first emergency Low Barrier small scale (18 – 20 bed) homeless shelter in Española / Rio Arriba county, New Mexico - ages 18 – 81.

The initiative began one cold night in November of 2018 when Ralph Martinez, a formerly homeless, longtime survivor, Española native sent a late night text to Roger Montoya (Moving Arts / CNN Hero) and other leaders in the community urging them to come together to do something for the homeless population that was freezing out on the streets, sleeping under bridges.

MAIDA has collaborated with EPS and designed limited edition long sleeved COME HOME tees, 10% of which all proceeds go to New Mexico Initiative to End Homelessness, EPS’s fiscal agent.
